Rotary International's 'End Polio Now' Campaign
Rotary clubs have been key players in the challenge to eradicate polio worldwide, contributing significant funds for immunisation since 1985. Since then, the number of cases has dropped dramatically, but the disease still exists in a handful of countries. One last push is required for complete success and Brackley Rotary continues to raise funds to support this remarkable and effective initiative.

Poliomyelitis is a crippling and potentially fatal infectious disease, still striking children mainly under the age of five in countries in Asia and Africa.
Because there is no cure for polio, the best protection is prevention. The good news is that polio is completely preventable. For as little as under one US dollar worth of vaccine, a child can be protected against this crippling disease for life. Rotary is now the leading private sector organisation involved in the fight, providing many of the needs for National Immunisation Days.
